Classes focused on communication

World Class Bcn offers a structured approach with various levels of learning to cater to the needs of students at different stages of language proficiency and employs a variety of study methods to ensure comprehensive and effective learning. We like to think that we are students’ partners in their journey of learning Spanish.

The main characteristics of the classes are:

Immersive method

Our teachers will speak Spanish from the first moment. Worried that you won’t understand? Don’t be! They are professionals 🙂

Focus on communication

For us, it is important that you speak Spanish from the very first moment. We make you speak through different activities, and games.

Interaction

It is important for us that you have a good time in the classes.

Progress

Our teachers follow closely your progress and will be there if you need them. We do regular check-ups of your progress and do exams to pass top the next level.

Spanish courses levels

Our Spanish courses are graded according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) – levels A1/A2 (Basic),  B1/B2 (Intermediate stage) and C1/C2 (Advanced). According to the CEFR, each level of Spanish provides the following abilities:

A1 - Basic User

To access A1 course, you don't need to speak any Spanish. At this level, you will learn how to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. You will be able to introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where someone lives, people they know and things they have. You will be able to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

A2 - Basic user

When you complete A2, you will understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You will be able to talk about your experiences - the big part of A2 is 3 past tenses.

B1 - Independent user

Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

B2 - Independent user

Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

C1 - Independent user

Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

C2 - Independent user

Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.

Final Results

The combination of these levels of learning and study methods creates a stimulating and engaging educational environment that helps students develop a strong competence in the Spanish language and effectively immerse themselves in Spanish culture.
